We purchased Sophia four our daughter's fourth birthday since she loves baby dolls. Overall I'm happy with our purchase. But there are some things I dislike. First of all her head does not turn from side to side nor does it move forward or back. The arms are very stiff and I worry if we try to move them they'll tear off. The legs are good and I like the movement. One of the feet looks slightly deformed from underneath. As I expected the hair is a bit messed up but it isn't as bad as I thought it would be. Her features from a distance look realistic but are not as real as I had hoped they would be. The movement of the stomach for simulated breathing is a neat touch but it's a little over much. The heartbeat is neat to feel but sounds very mechanical. They breathing sounds like congestion in an older infant.
I fell in love as soon as I picked her up out of the box ''' . She did not come with these clothes and blanket , I bought them for her . I just wish her head could turn from side to side and arms were less stiff
I love her I love her so so much
I don't see why people complain about her breathing it's fine to me
Looks feel n sounds real
I'm very hard to please
I open the box thinking to return it n to my suprise I'm keeping it
N the hair looks fine babies hair are shiny when u comb n oil it so I don't see why the complains about the shiny hair I love itttttt
I got this little girl today in the mail as a surprise from my husband...and she is everything that I wanted. Yes she has more hair and it is darker than in the picture but that makes her even cuter. I could do without her sound effect and the heartbeat does not sound natural but again that imperfection makes her even more cute. I fell in love with her and would never ever return her. In my eyes she is imperfect perfect :) I can't put her down. Also I figured that she fits better in 0-3 month clothing than newborn for some reason. Maybe the brand charters is just a little smaller than normal. I put her a hat on because it is cold here and I modified a pacifier by cutting off the tip and using putty to make it stay on her. And it works just fine. Buy her! You won't be disappointed.
She wears newborn clothes, 0-3 months is to long on her. She feels real and looks pretty real. Her hair could be better but a bow or hat fixes that! The first picture is in newborn and the second is in 0-3 months. I put more on as well! The only complaint is she doesn’t coo- or breath anymore. She use to but she stopped working after about a month. I’m so upset.. she was almost $200 and doesn’t even work right...
She came just as described if not better I love this doll
Ok I have to say that I thought I was going to have to give no stars and be very negative. I received the first doll and she was not working and was used (I paid for new one). I called customer service and they shipped me a new one.
I love her! I could not wait to get home from work and "play" with her! She is everything they say she is. Her heart beat is a little strange but the breathing and cooing are adorable!
Thank you so much Bradford Exchange customer service department!!!!
I had crocheted a sweater, hat and bootie set and was disappointed when the other came and was damaged. But very much worth the wait.
She's beautiful! Very real looking and so cute. Once you wet her hair a tiny bit and brush with a soft baby brush, her hair is great! I keep her in a medium sized wicker laundry basket all fixed up with blankets.
I'll try adding a photograph.
She is so beautiful. Pleasantly weighted, possible arms. I find she fits best in premie clothes. Newborns are a bit large depending on the company. Her skin is so soft and she has a pleasant smell. She hair is rooted. Doesn't quite look like the photo, but not a biggie with me. So pleased.
I bought Sophia for my daughter for Christmas and she loved it!!!very satisfied!!shipping was pretty quick.we also went and purchased sticky velcro and made a paci for her and is easy to remove with no damage.she takes newborn or 0-3 month clothing.my daughters only complaint is she can’t be bathed or eat/drink like “real babies” but she has other babies to fill in that spot while Sophia takes a nap.I have allowed her to bring her out places and people do think she was a real baby and almost concerned that my 7 year old is holding a newborn and me looking like a bad mom to where I had to explain that it was just a doll to stop the stares and whispers.all and all I’m just glad my daughter is happy!!
